I fell in love with photography since I was tiny. I had a 110 film camera and any 35mm camera I could get my hands on. Took all the photo classes I could in high school while dreamt of being a doctor or working in some bio lab.
Went to San Jose State University Business school, but ended up leaving after several semesters, but ended up back at SJSU for their Photography program. While at SJSU, I was a member of the Photographer’s Guild where I was then introduced to the the Associated Students department and was hired as their photographer. With the Photographer’s Guild, we curated and created a book of student work, had a show at KALEID Gallery, and a booth to sell student works.
I was a contract photographer for the City of San Jose while attending SJSU for their community events.
Learned jewelry investment casting and fell in love, but since it was my last semester at SJSU, I couldn’t take the advance classes and I was too broke to purchase my own equipment.
With a group of artist friends, we created and curated 2 art shows called SURGERY.
After graduating from SJSU in 2010, I was burned out from being an event photographer, so I looked for a job where I could be surrounded by creativity. And that’s when I ended up at TechShop, where I learned to be a better maker.
Ended up working for a conference production company managing the speakers. and worked another season running the start up track.
Contracted to work for another conference company where I managed everything but the session topics and speakers. Conferences took place in San Francisco and in Berlin.
Consultant for Lowe’s Innovation Labs to beta test a 3-D printing and scanning booth at an Orchard Supply store.
Worked for a couple of start up tech companies and a medical device company where I ended up learning a lot about corporate communication marketing.
